"Ghost City" in northwest China

"Ghost City" in northwest China

The "Ghost City" or the city of Wuerho, is located about 100 kilometers from Karamay, 90 kilometers southwest of Hami City, northwest China"s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The "Ghost City," 120 kilometers long and 30 kilometers wide, is famous for its Yadan landform, or dry areas with wind erosion landscape.  Aslo a city famous for its rich oil resources in China"s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. In recent years, Wuerho has emerged as a popular sightseeing destination for tourists because of its bizarre landscapes. Under the dry and windy climate, the sand mounds of the infertile earth are shaped into various forms, creating a world of natural sculptures.
